Thursday & Friday: 5.30-8.30 p.m.

Saturday: 10:30-1:30 p.m.

$110members / $140 non-members

Course is limited to 10 students (Minimum of 4 is required)

Ages: 17 and up

Student will learn the techniques on how to build an oil painting in layers to create a portrait with a personal twist. The painting will progress in layers and the finished artwork will have a sense of volume and depth.

List of Materials:

-Palette knife

-Paper palette 

-Thinner

-Painting Medium

-Different sized brushes-natural bristle, round #0, 2, 8,12 (*)

-1 Stretched canvas 24”x18”

-Photo references.

-Sketches of concepts and ideas to work on painting.

Burnt Sienna

Burnt Umber

Phtalo Blue

Zinc or Lemon Yellow

Yellow Ochre

Cadmium Orange

Cadmium Red Light 

Cadmium Red Deep Hue

Alizarin Crimson

Mars Black

Naples Yellow

*Note for more experienced painters: feel free to bring the colors and brushes of your choice.
